“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him…” Philippians 2:13

While not technically the start of the next half of the year, that’s what June 1 represents for me. January-May brought lots of change as I stepped away from the typical work structure into a vision God unfolded to me late last year (and continues to unfold). Melchee Johnson | New Day is my new and official work line, launched in March, and made up of this New Day blog, editorial services, and nonprofit support services, all centered in God and His Word. Praise is all I can return for what the Lord has put in place.

I’ve been intentional (as I should be) about learning and going after the tools and resources I need for a lot of the technical aspects of my business. I’ve been even more intentional (as I should be) about arming myself with the spiritual tools I need to stay grounded and focused on what God has called me to do. There has been much prayer, study, seeking, and discovering, and June’s start brings a recommitment to further equip and strengthen myself in the Word for the journey ahead, being zealous in my pursuit of purpose fulfillment.

I’ve seen the Lord’s goodness poured into my life perpetually, and I stand amazed at the mighty work of His hands now extended to mine, giving me the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. Ain’t nothing like knowing God is on the move, like experiencing your soul set ablaze for the kingdom. The time has come, June is here, and I’m ready to hear what thus sayeth the Lord…

Be on the lookout for more details on what Melchee Johnson | New Day is all about, and for ways you can partner with me in the vision!
