studying the book of James… for life

Consider it joy… James 1:2

This was a post I shared on Instagram earlier in the week, tweaked a little for here…

I’ve been so greatly blessed through the Book of James study being led by bible teacher and author Kim Cash Tate. If you are desirous of a “cling” walk with God, follow Kim’s Instagram page, get caught up on the James lessons, and be renewed and transformed. Bring an open heart and mind to receive His truth.

This study has come at a time when I’ve needed it. Much “life” is happening right now – some good and positive, some not so much. But in the trials, James is teaching us to consider the joy God says they bring, to complete endurance within us so we’re lacking in nothing. He’s so faithful to complete the work He started in us.

This study also comes at a time I’m desiring growth and learning. When the Lord knocked on the door of my heart in August to call me to this assigned path, I answered, without fear, swiftly, and in thanks (see The Time Has Come). My appetite for God and His Word grew, and I was and continue to be ready. What the Lord places in my heart, I share with you, with all who’ll listen. I want to keep it real and keep it true. Where He leads I will follow.

There’s so much GREAT about our Lord, so let’s discover His greatness for us together! Melchee Johnson/New Day Christian Blog & Community on Facebook (my page), on Twitter at @MelcheeJohnson, and melcheejohnson on Instagram are the virtual spaces I share my excitement for the things of God. And you’re obviously home here on the New Day blog. More work to come, more good things to feed your soul are on the way. God is good!

Prayers for you, love to you, and thank God for His love for us! “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
