bringing our souls back to life

Spring is finally here! Winter’s grey and cold are now things of the past, and warmer, longer days are ahead. No better time than now to focus on bringing our souls back to newness and life…

Growth and new, to mention it/them, seem to have been constant and necessary personal themes for me in recent years. I’ve needed the spiritual renewal, have been purposeful in adopting habits to keep me physically healthy as I’m moving through my 40s, and even mentally, I’ve sought out ways to remain sound and strong.

In my birthday week this year, I devoted time to the soul care and renewal aspect (I wrote about it in this post), being sure to feed the heart of who I am so I’m able to worship and work and enjoy life. It all truly starts inwardly, and the Word even speaks to an eternal benefit of spiritual/soul health:

“…for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬

With spring’s arrival and nature all around us being revived, I’m being more intentional about doing the same for my soul. Easter was awesome this year, and with that fervor, I recommitted to deeper study of the Word, to supplemental faith books and other readings, enhancing Sunday worship through new experiences, and devoted “war room” prayer times. These are sure to give any soul exactly what’s needed.

I encourage you to shake loose any part of winter still lingering, and embrace your soul’s cry to be raised from the dead! Easter has passed, but it’s not too late…
