book review + new Christian conference

Excited for this week’s post! Anytime I get to share news of what some of my sisters in Christ are doing in ministry is a good time for me! Let’s roll with it!

book review. Actually, I’m more previewing this book vs. reviewing it… Author Aretha Grant and I met virtually posting about Christian writing or blogging something or other. We share a heart and passion for words (we found), so it’s no wonder we eventually connected. Aretha’s dream to write and publish a book came true recently with the release of Overcomer: 25 Keys to Walking Victoriously. Check this:

Do you often feel stuck in life? Do you desire to grow in the Lord but feel as if something is holding you back?

The bible tells us we have overcome “because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4). In other words, regardless how you feel or what you experience, if you are a Christian, you are an Overcomer.Aretha Grant combines personal experience with biblical principles in Overcomer: 25 Keys to Walking in Victory to teach you how to walk as the overcomer God designed you to be. You are already an Overcomer. It’s time for you to walk as one, in faith, courage, and victory. (from

new Christian conference. Calling all Kim Cash Tate fans! If you’ve been following my blog a minute, you know how big a fan I am of Kim’s. First connected with her on Periscope, and after reading two of her books and following several teachings, I’m still hooked!

Remember her book Cling? It was a much-needed read for me (check my post about it here), and so will be… Cling Conference 2018! Y’all, I registered for that thing not more than two days after it was announced. What??!!

Kim’s design of the Cling SERIES has been phenomenal. From the book, to a YouTube Bible study, a radio feature, and now the conference, the story of her journey since she came across the short word in Deuteronomy 10:20 is amazing. She’s brought sound biblical teaching throughout the series, and now invites conference attendees to a deeper “…understanding of what it means to not only cling to God, but to impact our generation as we cling.” Now who wouldn’t sign up for that!

Learn more about Kim at, then switch over to for event details.

Get to readin’ and get to goin’!
